Film Review of Panic Room
Year: 2002 Reviewer: Chris Docker
(7/10)Isn't it amazing when Hollywood takes an unbelievable script, adds a world standard actress (Jodie Foster), deft camera work and a score by a recognized master (Howard Shore) and turns out a movie that, grudgingly, we have to admit is pretty good? I don't mean it's a work of art, but the flimsy premis (a woman and her teenage daughter trapped in a house with three burglars, spiced up with the addition of a high security "panic room" in that house) kept me on the edge of the seat for an hour and a half. Nail-bitingly good.
