Film Review of Ghost World

This high-school hokum stars Thora Birch (who played the precocious teenager in American Beauty and appeared more recently in The Hole). Steve Buscemi gets major role and carries it off well, but the real treat is when an average, if well-written, high school comedy between two best friends and their agreements and disagreements on growing up and dating, turns into a more serious work of self-exploration. Worth seeing.
