Film Review of Fah talai jone
Year: 2000 Reviewer: Chris Docker
Described as a renaissance of Thai cinema, tears of the Black Tiger is an original and moving piece of cinema. The central love story brings out the unique spirit of Thai romance, whilst making up for the occasionally low budget action effects with a self-conscious caricature of Hollywood cliches. Visually stunning, this is a classic cult movie that should get mainstream audiences in to see a subtitled movie and thoroughly enjoy. At the UK premiere, men were weeping unashamedly.
