Film Review of Dog Soldiers

(4/10)I guts and gore movie of the week, Dog Soldiers tells the "story" of six soldiers on a training exercise in Scotland (though sadly they used Luxembourg or somewhere in Europe to shoot it) that come across a pack of marauding werewolves. Predictable hand-help jumpy camera doing close ups every time a werewolf is about - this sort of technique has lost its shock value and simply looks naff. The whole film looks thrown together and I was quite thankful when it ended. The stabs of humour hit the mark occasionally and there is the occasional shock horror (or rather one, featuring a dead highland cow).
