This story of a rich young cad (Ben Affleck) who swaps boarding passes and then, when the plane he's narrowly missed crashes, sinks into a spate of alcoholic guilt, only recovering from it by trying to do a good deed to the person bereaved. Gwyneth Paltrow plays the widow of the man who took Affleck's seat on the plane. After Affleck meets her - surprise, surprise - they fall in love. A witty script saves it from being as bad as it sounds and it turns out to be a light and fluffy date movie (unless, that is, your date is a PC shaven-headed intellectual gourmet who expects a mental challenge instead of a cuddle).
